Frequently Asked Questions
Want to Learn More About Urgent Care?
If you’ve never used an urgent care center before, you may be wondering exactly what Urgentology Care is. Even if you have been to an urgent care clinic, Urgentology may not be the experience you are used to. Our team makes patient experience and satisfaction a priority. We know that people often go to an urgent care center because they need immediate and convenient medical care. In the answers to the questions listed below, you will find valuable information about our clinic and how we can help your family.
What is urgent care?
Urgent care provides same-day medical services for patients with all types of non-emergency medical problems. Typically, you would call your primary care provider if you have a medical question or concern. However, primary care physicians have busy schedules and may not always be able to see you when you need them. Urgent care is a convenient alternative in these cases.
At Urgentology Care, we accept walk-in patients. You can also schedule a same-day appointment online.
How long will I have to wait if I walk in?
We strive to make visits to our clinic convenient for everyone. Wait times are typically very short, and most patients complete their entire visit within one hour of their arrival.
Is urgent care different from emergency care?
Yes. Urgent care is not emergency care. We are not equipped to treat life-threatening situations. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please call 911 immediately!
When are you open?
We know that you cannot always make it to the doctor during regular business hours. To make sure you have access to the care you need, we are open seven days a week, including after normal business hours on weekdays
- Monday: 8:00 am – 8:00 pm
- Tuesday: 8:00 am – 8:00 pm
- Wednesday: 8:00 am – 8:00 pm
- Thursday: 8:00 am – 8:00 pm
- Friday: 8:00 am – 8:00 pm
- Saturday: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
- Sunday: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
Do you accept insurance?

Do you treat injuries?
Yes, we provide treatment and care for many types of injuries, including bone fractures, puncture wounds, and animal bites, to name just a few. So long as you are not dealing with a life-threatening injury, we should be able to help.
Do you offer lab testing?
Yes, we run a wide range of rapid tests in our in-house lab. Certain blood testing and cultures are sent to a highly reputable partner lab for further diagnostics.
Do I need a physician’s referral to use urgent care?
No, anyone can make use of urgent care anytime they wish.
Will I be treated by a doctor or a nurse?
It depends on your needs. Unlike some urgent care centers, we do have board-certified doctors on staff. Some patients will be seen by a highly skilled and experienced nurse practitioner instead. We make sure to pair every patient with an appropriate medical professional.
Do you provide pediatric care?
Yes, we provide treatment for adults and children who are at least 12 month old.
Can you write prescriptions?
Yes, we can provide prescriptions for patients who need medication.
